The Electrical Design Engineer will be a key player in the design and development of machine accessories and retro-fits, for both current and new equipment and automation. They will also be highly involved in identifying and solving problems related to production processes, equipment, and manufacturability.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will ultimately ensure that their innovative technology is implemented and maintained efficiently and within the parameters defined. In addition, there will be development projects looking at re-designing the systems and trialling new hardware as the individual projects dictate.

You will be tasked with completing EICR & EML Testing as well as Remedial Works in a very competitive marketplace. The nature of their work is nationwide so you should expect to travel throughout the UK as required by the business.

An exciting position has arisen within our company for a Projects / Contracts Engineer.
The role is based within the Contracts Division as part of a hardworking team of Process Engineers. Reporting to the Contracts Division Manager you will manage projects from order to completion interacting and co-ordinating with sales, technical and commercial departments when required.
There will also be opportunity to attend site in order to ensure smooth operation of the projects with access to use of a temporary company car and mobile phone when required.
Remuneration is in the region of £32,000 - £34,000 per annum and the company operate a profit related bonus scheme which is designed to pay an additional amount of up to 5% of basic salary dependant on the overall performance of the Company.

Prepare and provide such reports as required by the senior management team or Directors to assess the performance of the business.
Management of a team of laboratory and administration staff including performance management, providing trainings and procedures guidance.
Ensure continued conformity with the requirements contained in ISO 9001 (BSI) and ISO 17025 (UKAS) through the procedures defined within Quality Manual.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction /low complaint frequencies demonstrated using standard metrics from the ISO 9001 protocol.
Management of supply chain and as required assist in the creation of new efficient, reliable and functional internal processes ensuring that they are compatible with the financial and IT systems.
Provide technical expertise during onsite customer visits and meetings and actively support training events where needed.
Operate in compliance with corporate policies. Where these require modification or extension, work with others to generate new versions that maintain consistency across the business areas.
Contribute to the Company best practice and continuous improvement by bringing innovative and business developing ideas
Produce quotations based on customer needs, and management of client’s orders to dispatch & invoicing.
Key Skills and Knowledge required:
Degree in a mechanical engineering or related subject.
Experience in working to both ISO 9001 (BSI) and ISO 17025 (UKAS) quality standards ideally in a calibration laboratory with accreditation in the measurement fields of temperature, pressure or electrical.
